If you want to make a buck, put them down as central division champs.

Their rotation and bullpen is better than the cubs - significantly better.

Their lineup is undervalued. Grichuk and Piscotty aren't accounted for like they should be. Diaz is the real deal. Peralta wasn't healthy at all last year. Adams has upgraded himself big time, he and Gyrko are legit home run guys who aren't even starters.

They have a very nice stockpile of surplus in certain areas which will afford them leverage when trying to acquire any need that arises.

You don't want to believe it now but it is true. You will be shown the truth.

Cubs bounced the cards as the wild card two years ago so in case you're prediction comes true still won't matter.

They have been a mess

By 'analysts' do you mean the ones your organization stole all of your player development and scouting info from by way of corporate espionage therefore sending baseball personell people to federal prison??..

.... or do you mean the talking hair-dos who pick everything wrong every year??

I'm sure the Cardinals can hack it.

The Cubs are deeper and better than the Cardinals across the board...but not by a whole lot. Still deeper and better, if only slightly, at most positions equals 5 games.
Cubs struggled to beat injury ravaged Cleveland by a whisker last year. They didn't wallop anyone like, say, the Mets walloped them the previous year or the Royals walloped the Mets. Certainly not buying the "Cubs dominated baseball" story.

Before I respond I want to be clear that I think OP is an alter and/or troll

Now, the lineup may be a bit underrated but the rotation is shaky. If we lose even one guy to injury It will not be pretty

As far as the Cubs, I don't have a clue about Arietta but I imagine Lackey will be just fine. The guy is a vet that knows how to pitch

I'm as big of a Cardinals fan as there is, and this just isn't true. At least for the rotation. The Cardinals bullpen is undoubtedly better but let's go 1-5 rotation.

1) Lester vs Martinez PUSH
2) Arrieta vs Wainwright CUBS
3) Lackey vs Lynn PUSH
4) Hendricks vs Leake CUBS
5) Anderson vs Wacha CARDS

Now do I think the Cubs rotation will stay injury free for the most part like they did last year. No but they are a better rotation.

The Cubs won't be quite as good and the Cardinals will be a bit better but I'd still put the Cubs odds of winning the division at 95%

Quick update. 2-6 record. Worst team ERA in MLB.
