BRQ restaurant in Baton Rouge

Looks to be coming along nicely. Anyone familiar with this place? Will it be a casual place or a more upscale type restaurant? How will the pricing be?
Baton Rouge is sorely lacking in the BBQ options. We have Podnuhs that is beat to shite and TJ Ribs which isn't your typical BBQ place. The only other option is VooDoo which sucks.

Best real pit BBQ is Wayne's in Livingston

Deep South BBQ has the best in town. With that said, I look forward to anyone claiming to be able to improve the utterly terrible BBQ scene in BR.

it will be casual and comfortable but very squared away
the food will be more upscale outside of the BBQ which will be what you'd expact but neatly presented
the guy running it knows his stuff as he's been very successful in other places leading up to this.

Couple of questions...
Are those places still open?
What are the names of these places?

Never been to Stroubes so I can't speak to it but why would anyone pay more to go out for BBQ that was presented neatly?

TJ Ribs is certainly a more upscale setting than your everyday BBQ joint. BR needs a solid patio type BBQ shack. I've never been to Wayne's in Livingston but have passed it and it looks the part. To say BR isn't lacking is dreaming.

all I can tell you is his food is well and appetizingly presented
whether that has value to you is a personal decision

Yeah but that's not BBQ. Don't they boil their ribs?

I enjoy Hannah Q off Airline in Prairieville

Hannah Q is solid and probably the best in the area. Firehouse in Watson is also very good. Smokin Aces isn't bad but has been very inconsistent for me. Never been to Wayne's as I am a HI Ho fan and can't pass that up when I'm in Livingston.
BRQ was at Lamar Dixon yesterday and the reviews were solid.

I used to be a Voodoo fan. It has fallen off IMO.
Hannah Q and Pimanyoli's are my two favorites now.
