Net neutrality's a farce, it's a bunch of damn lobbyists from Google, Yahoo, AT+T, Verizon, etc. fighting over open and free access to the internet
Wasting your time. They don't understand how business works
They only want their Interwebz for free. But will bitch about someone getting an Obamaphone

For free? Where do I sign up for that?

You're not the right demographic.

It's no secret that he wants to go after net neutrality, just look at who he's appointed to FCC chair. This is bad news for everyone

You don't, but Youtube, Hulu, iTunes, Netflix etc want to charge you for them using up a huge portion of the bandwidth, and then not paying for it
You pay them, and you pay your ISP

Netflix using 32.25% of the total web bandwidth of North American home users nightly, followed by BitTorrent, YouTube streaming, music sites and porn.
With more streaming services that provide movies or music as content emerging every day, one can see that the pipeline is being hogged by certain businesses, while others deal with what space is left.

ISps are like any other business , they will provide what their customers want, without a government mandate that they do so.
They have an effective monopoly.

It never fails to see Republicans attacking net neutrality are constantly ignoring that ISPs have a government mandated monopoly thanks to feds and state level politicians.
You literally have state governments banning local municipalities from starting their own broadband services after getting nice fat checks from big telecoms.
We need net neutrality and if Trump is dumb enough to go after it, he deserves all the backlash he gets from it. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

I live in a small town, and I have access to 4 different ISPs. 5 if you include my work

This will stifle innovation by providing unnecessary barriers to entry for internet startups. if it's not broke don't fix it, and certainly don't have the government fix it.

I live in a small town and I have access to two ISP's, both of which provide identical, overpriced, shitty service.

But, with ISPs being able to sell ads, and bill the data hogs, you might see more ISPs enter the market?
I remember when Ma Bell was the only phone service in town. The govt was forced to break them apart. Now look. Get the govt out of the business of choosing winners and losers

Isn't Rand Paul also against net neutrality?

They pay their ISP too. And content providers should be protected at the expense of the gatekeeper.
And can we stop pretending that there is some bandwidth shortage? It's not even feasible

Are you a network engineer for a major ISP?
Unless you are, you have zero qualifications for making this statement.

When did customers ask for data caps?
Slow speeds?
And terrible pricing?
