If the Pels wanna swing some D, they should give RFA Ben McLemore a healthy offer sheet in the $10-15 million range this summer. No way SAC matches that after going all in on Buddy and w/ $20.5 wrapped up in Afflalo/Garret Temple SG money for next year. Pending a Boogie blessing of course.

But of course some a-hole team like the Bucks are going to try and max him bc of irrational valuations. He's just been coming OTB amidst SAC's Buddy Love period and putting up solid numbers while draining 50% of his triples. I believe he'd be a nice fit adding spacing to our Big 3 plus Solo lineup. Also he's only 10 months older than Buddy LOfrickINGL

I don't take your opinion seriously. Your posts are shite and you add nothing to this board. Move along

EDIT: Also balking at $10-15 Mil range for a 24 year old shooter when Garrett Temple and E'Twuan Moore are getting $8Mil per is hilarious. You clearly understand the current market....McLemore is a prime change of scenery young guy. We all know SAC's a dumpster fire.

I can guarantee you that not one person who watches basketball is going to pop into this thread and agree with you that the Pelicans should sign Ben McLemore to a $15/year offer sheet.

because giving 15mil to a SHOOTING guard who can't shoot is a bright idea.

Affalo's deal is nonguaranteed next season.

And McLemore is not worth 15 mil.

I wouldn't mind him. I think he can improve and be closer to a 38-40% 3 point shooter. He's been at 36 last 3 years. Isn't much of a scorer though. He's not a good defender, but i'm sure he could learn to be better.

There's about a 0.1% chance anyone offers that. He'll be lucky to get half of that.

First off we should go after a PG because Jrue is clearly better off ball.

Secondly, you clearly don't watch enough basketball to think that McLemore is worth that kind of money. McLemore would barely be worth the BAE IMO

I don't necessarily want him on this team and I think the Pels are better off going after a gurard, I think he'll get a decent amount more than the BAE. His QO is over 5 mil.

ETA: to clarify, I realize that he's a SG. I just typically think of players as guards, wings, and bigs, and he's a wing.

Probably a little more than what Langston got(5.5) so around 6-6.5

The only king FA I'd really want is collison

The dude was the #7 pick 3 years ago and the kings, a team constantly looking for any halfway decent players they can find, have been trying to trade him for 2 of the 3 years. Hard pass unless for a very small amount of money

I think the fascination has everything to do with the commentary on him leading up to the draft. He was seen as the best player in the draft and the surest think at the next level. (granted it was an incredibly shitty draft outside of Giannis). When a player gets talked about like that then gets tucked away in basketball Siberia, those old projections stick with people. Most people don't realize he's actually awful since most people don't pay attention to the Kings.

Part of the reason he's terrible is bc of the Kings. 1 and done to a team that is generally terribly ran and not known for developing players. No real stability

very young draft too. guys like Otto Port, KCP, Hardaway Jr, Crabbe, Curry (undrafted) all have come into their own the last year or two, but got the chance to play for more stable franchises.

I think Mclemore can produce similar to those guys. He's athletic enough and can shoot the 3. Where he goes will be important. He's not close to a $15 mil player tho
