CPM's excuse on the loss last night is laughable

In his postgame interview he said playing on Tuesday is tough because you just played on Sunday. He said that's the bad thing about playing Thursday. You have to play on Tuesday but Monday is an off day so they don't see the team from the time the game ends Sunday until they show up Tuesday.
Does this guy even know that in the 90's and early 2000's, they played on Tuesday AND Wednesday between weekend series' and rolled almost everyone they played in midweek while staying at the top of the SEC?

Had I been interviewing I would have asked if Tulane played Sunday.

I'm not saying he's right, but the NCAA mandates one off day per week. With having the A&M series starting on Thursday, he probably felt that using the off day Monday instead of Wednesday was the right move, and I don't disagree on that. But it definitely does make it harder to prepare the team when you aren't allowed to coach them.
Not really what his comments were related to, and that didn't even happen every week. Also, we still have multiple two-midweek game weeks. The schedule is actually denser now, by rule, than when Skip was coaching.

That doesn't really matter if their conference series doesn't start until Friday.

Pasta Sauce is an absolute joke. Always an excuse for everything. Nothing is ever his fault.

Oh I thought he was saying there was not enough of a break from Sunday to Tuesday. Guess I misunderstood.

Translation: I have no fricking clue how to manage a game when we are at full strength, and now I have to do it on a Tuesday against Tulane? Do you think I'm Superman or something?

It's inexcusable that he got an extension.

He made the schedule. He could have not scheduled a weekday game this week.

I was giving LSU hitting the benefit of the doubt until I saw the quality of Tulane pitching last night. No excuses now. LSU has some serious issues in the lineup.

They didn't have to play Tuesday. When the SEC schedule came out he could have had the Tulane game rescheduled or cancelled all together. I am not really a baseball guy so I don't get into bashing PM but that is a bullshite excuse.

CPM pissed away this season by hiring Micah Gibbs as the hitting coach. It was a lazy hire on his part and it is showing up big time.
And it is a shame because Kramer, Cole, and Jared all came back for their senior season because they felt like it would be a special season.

Think things through before you post, please.

How does that affect his in game decisions to not pinch run for Jordan and not bringing in your best relievers ? Reynolds hasn't proven anything! He could have used Bain, Beck, and Gilbert for an inning each and gotten the win. CPM continues to not make good in game decisions. The best move I've seen him make all year was bunting Papeirski to move Jordan over . He needs to go!!

I agree with this. Pathetic Tulane pitching and we can't hit. Stranding too many on base.

And he could have done two in a week with a Friday weekend series and after a Thursday to Saturday series. He could have given off Sunday. Practiced Monday played tue and wed. His excuse is I didn't see the team. Bs excuse. He could schedule around that excuse if he wanted to.
