Kinda sucks that it would be confined to one central location, but as long as I can get there from the SEZ, it's whatever. Better than no beer at all I guess

I don't know about others, but by game time (night games) I'm pretty much done with drinking and already sloshed.

This concept might work better for a day game.

I'll be shocked if the good ole boys from Birmingham approve it. Those Alabama Baptists believe you should not drink if someone can see you

I think the game in Wisconsin really accelerated a lot of these discussion amongst the administration and members of the board. Seeing how well it was situated at that iconic venue really opened a lot of eyes to the possibilities inside Tiger Stadium.

Plus the decreasing attendance certainly is helping to move this along as well.

I can assure you it won't be in the NEZ by the student section...

I'm more curious about the other renovations that were supposed to come this offseason.

He’s even suggested fans would be less likely to binge drink before entering the stadium if they knew they could buy beer inside.

I swear, Joe!

What exactly is the rationale for one location?

Other than "better than none".

My guess is that everyone knows the SEC will say no to alcohol sales in the entire stadium, so they propose a single area. After the season, they show the results to every other school. Now every school wants to do it. Then it just expands from there.

As if the I-10 isn't dangerous enough after leaving Tiger Stadium. Let's serve booze AT the games when it's usually the time reserved for everyone to sober up and enjoy the product on the field.

I would imagine they are in full force now because they cancelled Bayou Country Superfest so wont have to deal with that in May.

But LSU and construction projects you never know. They probably wont start till June and will be rushing to have some of the restrooms open by the first game.

They've began knocking down all the dorms/offices in the south end zone. I'll take a picture this afternoon

Weird. I'm not as interested in drinking much for day games compared to night games.

Why don't we just make alcohol illegal altogether?

Where was the beer garden? I remember a spot in the parking lot where there was a huge tent to sit/drink in along with outside stations to by beer as well as a stage for entertainment. It was very nice, but there would be no way LSU could duplicate that unless the tent was at the entrance to the PMAC where a band currently plays before home games.

Labeau was a stadium surrounded by a huge parking lot on all sides. Tiger Stadium only has one big parking lot connected to the stadium on the west side.
