Kinda sucks that it would be confined to one central location

Well they turned the spigot on at least...I'm guessing we are a few years out, at most, from having young brothers hiking up and down the stadium steps with plastic long necks and having taps at every concession stand.....it's only a matter of time.

Money/greed dictates it.

I hope they aggressively put in new Men's restrooms in the south end zone as that is a disaster without beer sales.

ridiculous if it's only in one spot in the stadium

May as well kiss your family bye once you get inside the stadium because they won't be seeing you until the 3rd quarter.

I still do not understand the need to get shithoused while watching the game. It doesn't add to my enjoyment at all and generally makes you feel like shite.

...and having to go take a piss every 15 mins and miss the action on the field. I sat in a suite last year (for the 1st time) and drank the entire time during a game. The bathroom attendant was starting to wonder. I always stop drinking before gametime and just sweat it out with the rest of the poors.

Many pros to this. Less binge drinking and more people in the stands towards the end of games.

How much has the fan experience suffered since Alleva took over?

Basketball - pretty much no fans, they are all at gymnastics meets now
Baseball - parking is becoming a cluster and the concessions are overpriced and terrible
Football - messed up everyone's tailgating spots

I don't know about others, but by game time (night games) I'm pretty much done with drinking and already sloshed.

Same here. I use the game time to sober up.

Kind of misleading.

It will be only available for club/suite level ticket holders with the goal of eventually being available for the masses.

quote:

The SEC prohibits its 14 member schools from selling alcohol at athletic events, which is why beer sales at LSU home games are only allowed in the stadium club and suites, technically separate structures from Tiger Stadium.

While university officials are waiting for the green light on the beer garden, they are trying to determine where in the stadium it should be located. Ballard says it will be somewhere below the club and suite levels.

“The goal is to do it for our fans who don’t have access to the premium areas,” he says.

There will 100% be a beer garden at my house for every game...still no reason to go to the stadium

Baby steps

This will hopefully pave the way for beer being sold in the entire stadium

You sure about that? They already have access to alcohol. I think the beer garden is a separate entity and people will have to drink the beer there before returning to their seats, but it'll still be available for everyone.

And yet still not allowed by the current SEC rules.

Thats why I am saying they will probably have to put it in the club/suite sections to begin until beer is allowed to be sold in the stadium.

They're not putting a beer garden in the stadium club that already sells beer. Or in the suites that are stocked with beer.

What the blazes are you talking about?

I feel like you're missing the point of the beer garden. Suites and stadium club already have access to beer. Just like with the stadium club and suites, they're planning to create it as a "technically separate" entity. You even quoted that phrase in your previous comment.
