I know y'all hate that guys like me and Russian have the inside track because of our tie$ to the program, but you're pretty much pissing into the wind.

You're the one boasting about your player skills analysis ability.

I said I thought he was a 30th round draft prospect, as I recall. You, for some reason still a mystery to me, took my prediction very personally and predicted he was a top 10 round prospect and got pissed at me for my prediction.

The Mets agreed with you, obviously. I hoped for the best for Tyler. He is a terrific young man...one of my all time favorites.

But, do you think the Mets still agree with you that it was wise to use a sixth round pick on a player who is still in A ball after 3 full seasons following a partial first season on their developmental league team and who has a minor league career batting average of .213 all in A or Low-A?

Maybe 30th round wasn't so wrong after all.....

I don't remember doing this. I thought we were talking about whether Romero's shoulder injury is preventing him from being as good a hitter this year as he was last year.

As far as the rest of your sad post, Moore's career post-LSU has nothing to do with the discussion back in 2013. The fact that you get some satisfaction from his lack of success is really sad.

As much as Kim refuses to believe, for whatever reason, that I spoke with Romero's dad, his dad told me at a game that Jordan feels pain when he swings the bat hard.

I was not disputing the fact that you talked to Romero's dad, I was laughing about how so many of your posts involve these sincere "face to face", "I was at a luncheon" references in order to give validity to the stuff you are about to post.
Why does that bother you so much? You've claimed to know players families (after also claiming you didn't) and it doesn't matter to me at all that you do.....or don't, whichever is true.

Russian is a pretty smart guy. His intuition when it comes to stock trading is second to none.

It doesn't bother me a bit. It makes me laugh.

You got me--I don't know anyone.

You don't remember? You just posted above you wish you had made a ban bet on your Tyler Moore draft prediction vs mine.

I get no satisfaction knowing Tyler has struggled. I hope this will be his breakout season.

But you have brought up my prediction every season since Tyler left LSU, like you did in this thread, which, again, remains a mystery to me why it matters to you so much. I'm flattered that I occupy your thoughts every baseball season. Believe when I say I rarely think about you.

And since it appears maybe my prediction was closer to the reality of Tyler's abilities than yours, perhaps you shouldn't want to keep bringing it up every season. At least maybe not until Tyler makes it to at least AAA.

This was not about player skills analysis, it was about when a player was going to be drafted. I never said anything about his skills or success at the next level. It is so sad that you are happy that Tyler has yet to succeed.

Again, the discussion was about when Moore was going to be drafted. There was no discussion about his success at the next level. I said he'd go early and you said he wouldn't. Simple as that.

Of course there was the underlying topic of Coach's perceived treatment of Moore and we disagreed on that, but that has nothing to do with where he was drafted. This is why you take pleasure in Moore's lack of success to date. It somehow validates Coach's stance on Moore in your impotent mind.

Adam actually had Moore on his "look ahead to next season" team.
