How dare you invoke logic some of these hoople heads are allergic to it.

I have no clue what half of that sentence means tbh.

Surprised he opted not to have surgery if he couldn't throw or hit pain free.
If I see him at another game I'm going to try to get an update. I saw him at one of the Maryland games and haven't talked to him since.

25 at bats is in no way and accurate reflection of a hitters ability
Exactly. How many ABs did Bergman have with the Astos before he got his second hit? What happened after that?
If he's legitimately injured to the extent he can't hit like he's proven he's capable of doing it's one thing. If he's not playing because of 30 scattered ABs that's just inexcusable.

De he mention if there was a target date for him to be fully recovered? Or maybe like a roundabout month?

Highly debatable.

Just knowing CPM and how Romero was treated last season, I don't think he planned on having Romero in the lineup healthy or not. Even when asked pre season about it he never mentioned Romero for catcher or DH. Even after the Jordan injury he wasn't mentioned.

As much as Kim refuses to believe, for whatever reason, that I spoke with Romero's dad, his dad told me at a game that Jordan feels pain when he swings the bat hard.
I was not disputing the fact that you talked to Romero's dad, I was laughing about how so many of your posts involve these sincere "face to face", "I was at a luncheon" references in order to give validity to the stuff you are about to post.

Thank you Russian for clearing this up for him
Russian didn't clear up shite. Romero's hitting is not affected by his current shoulder injury. Romero was hitting BP before the game today with the 1s, but Coach went with his data fueled gut.

Make sure you give him the secret handshake so you can get the good info.

quote:No, he didn't but the next weekend after the Maryland series Mainieri used Romero at DH in Houston and he did well. As I recall Romero got several hits in those three games including his only extra base hit, a double, this season. I remember Mainieri was quoted in the paper speaking highly of Jordan after one game in Houston and was hopeful to use him more as DH.

Like I said I will look for Mr. Romero at the upcoming home games and try to get an update.

You're a bitter little man. Why is that?

He went 4 for 10 in the weekend series.

He gave Romero a backhanded compliment saying that he's always been a streaky hitter. Romero wasn't even going to start at DH that weekend--Reid was. But Coach didn't like what he saw from Reid in BP and he went with his gut.

Good luck with that.

You are so sad. I should have ban bet you after the 2013 season about Tyler Moore's draft stock. The only reason I didn't is because you would have welshed over a comma.

It's getting real in here

You didn't answer my question.
Eta: I bet the Mets wish they had drafted Moore where I predicted he'd get drafted rather than wasting a sixth round pick on a player who spent the next 3 seasons stuck in A ball.

This has nothing to do with where he was drafted, which was the question at the time. It is so sad that you seem to get satisfaction in Moore's lack of success at the next level. I guess this somehow validates Coach's treatment of Moore in your impotent mind.

I spoke with Romero's dad when I was leaving a coaches' meeting and he told me that Romero only has pain on the follow through. Take that fwiw.
