Nextdoor investigative threads are like reenactments of Police Academy 4: Citizens on Patrol where the bored housewives and retirees act like Tackleberry.

It can be a great place for communication. I joined during the great flood to get info and pics of other areas of my subdivision. Most of the posts are helpful and yes some alert us to security threats. I don't mind the extra notices because they are easy to weed out. The only problem I see is that it gives bad residents who are always stirring up mess another platform to be even more messy. Why can't we all just get along?

There is an ignore function.
That's something TD should have.

It's "meat" out justice. J/k, it's "mete." My Nextdoor keeps people woke somewhat, about every car break-in in the area. It's mostly about lost pets, curb alerts, and whining about random shite. I have gotten some good referrals for contractors and restaurant recs.
There are also a lot of angry leftists trying to sneak in political posts under the guise of "some Trumpkin stole my Hillary sign" or organizing a "PSA shoot" to fight the horrible way "undocumented visitors" have been treated.
We are moving.
Eta: my list is typical of my posts when I don't read past the first page of a thread. Everyone already said all of this, right down to meat/mete. Lol.

Did you include a pic in your profile?

It's linked to Facebook, so yes. No requests from neighbors asking me to lick balls yet.

Just give it time.

Next door, while a good app for selling goods in the neighborhood (ill sold and purchased items from neighbors) shows me just how scared and irrationally scared some people are.
every post is literally like "i saw a black man walking down the street, call the cops."
You'd think america is worse off than it actually is if you read that app. I guess its a look into the terrible world that trumplicans think we live in

Its funny seeing peoples racism just ooze out in threads. Some people get so scary they just crumble and start mouthing off into irrational fears.
it has made me look at some "smart" people with a second glance. not as smart as I thought.

I don't think anyone is scared of black people.
They're scared of what black people will do to their property value.

That's willfully ignorant and tolerant of others racism. Maybe they should change their views of black people and their property value won't be effected

How does changing their view remove a broken down Caprice Classic off the lawn, and weed eat where it's been sitting for years, or paint the shutters, or get them off the porch from the hours of 8-5 while the whole neighborhood is at work?

You ever think that some people are smarter than others, and just do it for shits and giggles?
