Aren't whites the primary user of government assistance by a very large number?

Yes they are, and since they also benefit from white privilege I think we need to end all public assistance.

Go to an Indian reservation with a successful casino on it. The life expectancy is in the neighborhood of 50-60. Addiction rates, diabetes, and suicide are all through the roof.

Isn't Georgetown offering a free education?

That's worth a ton. Imagine how good a job you can get with that degree.

You think these people want an education

America has put a monetary figure on the the plight of the natives so it can't be that hard.

Additionally, each tribe polices this themselves by determining who is able to "benefit." It is left up to each tribe (the ones the government recognizes) to determine how they want to administer the $ and to whom. They determine what % you have to be (via DNA) and/or if you have to prove lineage by having a descendant whose name appears on the base roll. None of the tribes just blindly hand over $ to any and every person that comes along blindly claiming they deserve a cut.

I find it very interesting, and admirable, that Indians have developed this system of requiring actual physical proof. And even if you can prove that you share their DNA...if you don't have more than a certain %, you will not receive any kind of monetary gain from them.

When I was in the military and stationed in Washington state, I lived right next to one where the average income was in the six figures (combination of casino royalties and subsidies from the federal government). It was, nonetheless, an absolute shithole, and quality of life was very low. It was the example I had in my head when I wrote that sentence.

Even disregarding the toxic climate transfer payment reparations would generate (as in, if they got high enough, people would start shooting at each other), if we're ever going to do anything like this, it has to be of the creating value-type, not the transferring value-type. We already do a lot with education as far as scholarships, admissions, etc., so I think it'd have to be more on the wealth creation side of things.

I agree. Just handing over cash would be like handing them a loaded gun.

If you disagree with someone you're a racist, bigot didn't you know that? And God forbid you don't think people should get paid for something that happened to someone they've never met

Georgetown profited from the work and sale of their ancestors, who were never paid for their work. Considering that Georgetown is an institution which may not otherwise have survived, and not a person, I don't see anything wrong with their descendants wanting the compensation their ancestors never received.

Ok, what was minimum wage back then?

I accepted the fact and countered with my own. So you counter with insulting me by calling em less of a human, so I returned the favor.
