When will people accept the awesomeness that is bro-country?? It's the best thing that has happened to country in a long time.

Who is this "Burt Reynolds" clown?
Not sure any one poster could ever be the worst on TD simply because of the shear volume of terrible posters, but Burt is a top 5 in the category.

Don't be a hack, good country music is out there
Add Whitey Morgan to that list.

FOr the guys that can't get into Sturgill, what are you listening too? I didn't care much for his last album, but his first two are amazing, and he's WAY better live.

You Can Have The Crown / Somedays

Long White Line

If you're only listening to his "albums", you're missing out.

I really like Blackberry Smoke. I was disappointed I had to miss their show at the Varsity last month.

They were awesome. Plenty of videos on youtube from that show.

You say that as if living in Ellic is bad. Confusing to me really considering it's the best place to live in Louisiana. Besides, there are losers everywhere, as evidenced by whereever the hell you live.

Steve Earle is the last of the hardcore troubadours.

Steve Earle is terrible now. IMO

Have to say I'm a huge fan of Isbell and Sturgill, though as someone mentioned, they're more Americana.

Anyone listen to Jason Boland and the Stragglers? Their High in the Rockies live album is amazing. Been a Drive-By Truckers fan for years- up until their most recent album. Enjoy Lucero as well.

Nothing I've heard lately is comparable to the real country music from back in the day.

His first two albums are amazing, and very different from the latest one. Still a huge fan of that one as well though. Was bummed I missed him in Nola a few months ago. Never seen him live, but have watched plenty of full shows of his online and they're great.

This seems to be an epidemic in today's "country" music.

I was able to catch him last year at The Tabernacle in Atlanta, fantastic show. His show at The Fox sold out much too fast this year unfortunately.
