Somewhere a four top can sit and enjoy a leisurely lunch with a beer or wine.

I know its touristy, but I would go to Prejeans. They are fairly consistent.

I'll be different and go with Social, but you can't go wrong with The French Press either.

Don's Seafood Hut. Either downtown or Johnston street locations: Lafayette traditions, quality food and drinks. This is an old stand-by recommendation. Never disappoints.
French Press is also very good.

Everyone saying French Press is right but you will have a wait. I also don't think they take reservations.
A couple of other options are Dark Roux and Brick & Spoon.

French Press, Social or Saint Street Inn. In that order is how I'd pick, but you can't go wrong with any.

Blue Dog Cafe on Pinhook for Sunday brunch.

Don's on Johnston. A note about Don's: their hamburger is excellent. It's not on the menu, though.

How about Ruffino's? Also, Riverside Inn is a nice option.

Fezzos if you want seafood.
I also like Dwyers for lunch/brunch. It's a very casual place but the food is pretty damn good.

Don's Seafood is for old people who have lost their taste buds.
