These people are stupid assholes. Start planning active activities and things you can do together that are exercise/cardio oriented. Eat better. Start taking better care of yourself. Hopefully, she will follow suit. You're going to have to hold her hand through this.

Talk to her. Tell her you're going to make a life change; you'd like her on board.

Good luck. This may not work. It's worth a shot before you start following these idiots' advice.

My ole' lady asked me before we started dating "If I get ugly, would you leave me?"

Without even blinking I said "yes"

Needless to say she was offended and said that was wrong and asked why I would do that.

My response was simple. I said "If you simply allow yourself to get unattractive that shows me that you've taken me for granted and don't care what I want."

Over time she's come to see what I mean. I understand simple aging, but women just letting themselves go can GTFO.

Much more appropriate for you. Sorry your husband got fat and you have a hard time getting to his little nub.

The FDA has thousands of approved food additives. cook most meals at home with food with these absent if possible. Also, try to avoid foods that have been raised with roundup or glyphosate. avoid gmo foods if possible. Don't believe that stuff on fat unless its trans fats or cheap vegetable oils, healthy fats are not only good for you but required. cut sugar from the American average of 150lbs/year to much less.

Regardless of discussions, they think gyms are nasty and superficial, no room in the house for home gym equipment, and have zero concepts of what healthy eating is.

i mean there really is only 1 way about going about this, and it is improving the diet. Sure, working out is great, but you cant out work a bad diet.

Look into the Whole30 eating challenge. Start slow with the exercise just by walking the neighborhood. Hopefully as the weight comes off you both will be more motivated to do more for your health

Beach Body / P90X uses very little equipment or space. There's really no excuse other than laziness.

Tell her to move the coffee table out of the way and get to it.

My wife told me to get my arse back in the gym. I did. A person should be able to get back in shape if they have any self-respect for themselves.

It's a mine field topic and will likely blow up in your face.

Get Fitbits and get in a group with each other. Compare steps each day. If she is cooking crap food, refuse to eat it.

Demand cutting the junk carbs and cheap oils from even being in the house. Hit up the produce stand twice a week.

Buy some bicycles and ride together. Go hiking or whatever. Plan a beach vacation together and challenge her to be bikini ready for it.

Ask her to start fixing low carb meals (meat & veg) because you want to lose weight/get healthier/whatever. It encourages the change without coming out & saying it. Exercise is good and all, but weight loss is almost entirely diet.

She knows she's fat. I can't even imagine doubling my weight from a thin 115. Is she on antidepressants or something? In what period of time did she gain that much weight?

Film yourself banging someone much younger and prettier and then show her video to get your point across

That isn't so prevalent in my neck of the woods. The average 60-somethings here are more fit and healthier than average 30-somethings in the southern region

Find a few old pictures of her in a swimsuit and have them enlarged and framed. Hang the pics next to her mirror.

ETA: pics from before she was fat

She doesn't have to exercise. She just has to eat less than her BMR. No time is not an excuse. Exercise only speeds it up (or makes you more hungry) and helps you retain your muscle mass (and she doesn't seem to care about that at all). Check the alcohol consumption too. So many calories.
