There's a huge Dicks/Field & Stream store here in Lafayette, I don't see them being a permanent fixture. They have a pretty good selection but I find everything to be higher priced.

They are high like giraffe arse! They were $5 more per box on tula 7.69 vs academy!

Yea it's a nice combo they have but I avoid that area with all the traffic that the new development has brought. As far as Gander Mtn, the only one I've been to was in Nashville and the prices are ungodly high.

Todays society seems to be driven more towards buy cheaper and replace instead of fixing. I think you'll see more of these higher price stores going away...

Unless they have a great sale and then the OB keeps them afloat

I've gone in there several times, but never buy anything. Academy FTW.
