What a great and uplifting movie.
I highly recommend it.

All I remember about the movie is the old wheelchair guy standing up during the FG attempt and laughing my arse off in the theater.
eta: Had to make a gif of it since I couldn't find one on google.

I grew up going to church with Alex and Stephen Kendrix. Their dad was our associate pastor. Glad to see them do these movies but Alex was an arrogant brat at the 10-14 age. Every time I see his face in the movie I can only see the pouty smart arse he was as a kid. Other than that, I really enjoyed the movie.

I like the movie but yeah, wheel chair dad is a horrible actor.

I honestly thought it was Colin Mochrie the first time he showed up on screen.
Damn, imagine how much better the movie could've been.

It's no secret that Richt is a devout Christian. These films are from a church in Albany, GA so that is the Richt connection.

You should check out Courageous, Firepoof and War Room as well (those are in my order of favorites). They're made by the same group as Facing the Giants.

The best scene is during practice , when they're doing the crawling drills, and the kid wants to quit.

The only one we haven't seen in that group is Courageous.
It's next.
All wonderful movies that leave you feeling fulfilled. Of course there aren't any oscar-worthy performances but that's not the point of them. Most actors and actresses are volunteers from their church.

Glad he grew into what he is today.
I can relate to being a different person years ago with values much different than what they are today.

Perfect description.
Although I might've teared up when the nurse follows her out to the parking lot.
Maybe.

Me too. I was actually very proud of him and his brother when the movie came out.

Indeed. If our nation was more about what is depicted in this movie, we would be a much better society.

This the movie where God changes the wind direction because he likes one team more than the other?

My main problem is how everything works out absolutely PERFECTLY in the end. God seldom works that way. Why not make it where coach gets a raise and they can adopt a child instead of her suddenly being healed of her infertility.

It's much better than those "God's Not Dead" and Evolution is Evil abortions put out in recent years, but it's still a poor movie if we judge it using the same criteria we judge every other genre of movies by.
Woodlawn on the other hand is an objectively good movie IMO and what other "Christian" films should aspire to.
