Microsoft Edge vs Google Chrome

Title bout says it all. I currently use Chrome on my desktop and every morning when I log in this Microsoft Edge window pops up telling my why its better than Chrome. So what say the Tech Board on this? Stick to Chrome or use Edge?

Stay with Chrome. Those are ads from microsoft for a microsoft product in a microsoft product.

Until Edge has full extension support and tons of useful extensions, it is worthless.

There is no good reason to use a Microsoft browser if you're not accessing a government computer or certain government sites.
I'm still at Firefox (mostly), because I use a number of plug ins. However, I've used Chrome off and on for years - and see a time in the near future where I'll be all Chrome.
Edge?

Extensions are life. I can't give those up.

I think people just bash Edge cause its Microsoft. I use both Edge and Chrome all day. No big differences. Edge uses way less resources. Chrome has extensions.

Chrome on my desktop.
Edge on my Surface.
I have no problems using either one.

I think in terms of browsing, Edge is on par with Chrome or maybe even better.
However the lack of extensions and not being able to sync across all of my devices makes me not want to try it.

Since the last update (back in the Fall, October maybe), Edge is running well for me. I don't need/use extensions. Chrome is a resource hog and frankly I don't care for Google's political agenda so I stay away from their products as much as possible.

I use Chrome. Why? Because I have no particular reason to switch to Edge. I don't think there's anything wrong with Edge, it's just that Chrome does just fine for me.

The right answer is both. I've got Edge, Chrome and Firefox pinned to my taskbar, they all have specific roles.
Chrome and Firefox for browsing.. Edge for video/media because it's true 1080p/60fps, the others are capped at 720p

Edge actually isn't a bad browser. If it wasn't made by microsoft, it would be cool to recommend.
I wouldn't say it's better than chrome, but it's a solid backup/alternative. I prefer it over firefox.

Chrome is awesome if you need to turn your computer/laptop into a personal space heater.
Edge is really fast and overall pretty good, but it's very basic. They do have an adblock extension for it now which makes it usable.
I like Firefox the best. Runs well on all of my computer and has a lot of flexibility with the amount of extensions that are available.
