it seems like i have 50 friends that graduated in construction management.

Maybe i am wrong, but it seems like everyone is a project manager.

how much do projects managers rake in?

What do you actually do?

Depends on the industry (Plant, commercial, electrical, mechanical, ect) and experience of course.

EDIT: also, when i was in college, CM is where they pushed Engineering majors who couldn't get past Calculus....

Not many of them have ever used a rake much less a hammer and a nail.

Couple of years out of undergrad in Baton Rouge?

Probably 60-75 plus bonus.

i think they would start in the 40s (maybe push 50 if they had experience while in college) and get up to the 60 after about 5 years, depending on where you work and the experience you can pull in

15-20 years in on 100 range w/ bonuses if they are worth their weight

EDIT: as listed above, field experience prior is a huge plus

They make much higher than this in industrial/plant project management. Depending on the size of the project and complexity of the scope, I've seen them in the range of $125K-$250K+. Income can also depend on how many hours they are working also.

what a broad question. That's like asking "how much do engineers rake in?"

They can make from 40k to 300k....depends upon the industry and types of projects

Edit...also you don't have to be a pm, there are good project controls, estimating, proposals jobs out there too

are u asking about construction Pm's or just Pm's in general?

if you are asking in general I think it would depend on field.

my PM is probably making 80K...im in security systems...low voltage electronics
