Justin Verrier? Verified account ? ?@JustinVerrier Pelicans have made trade inquiries on DeMarcus Cousins and Paul George, per league sources. Talks have progressed further on Cousins.

I don't know if I should be excited or terrified

Ah, Boogie Cousins, just the kind of player Coach Gentry likes

Thinking about it a bit more, the 3 asset hoarding teams, Boston, Denver, Philly no longer have center as a big need with Horford, Jokic and Embid. If they are out on Cousins, and his crazy scares away some of the other would be suitors, Buddy and picks may not be a bad bid.

Yes.

I'd actually prefer Paul George

quote:yep. Its such a high risk/high reward imo. But at this point, frick it, lets do something else crazy while we have AD here for the next 4 years.

I would be sad to see Buddy go. But man, I'd help pack his bags if we got boogie in return

Supposedly Indy hadn't even been listening to offers on George in the past because they were expecting new CBA rules like we saw. He'd have to tell them in no uncertain terms that he's leaving for them to trade him.

I think all of us would

quote:big time. We really do need an all star backcourt player to pair with AD. But the thought of having cousins and AD on the floor together also makes me very moist. That would be a top 5 frontcourt of all time. No bullshite.

I'm just going sit back, relax, and lower my expectations to us making some BS trade at the deadline leaving us with blue balls like always

So if we got boogie.......for buddy and picks, what would the money situation look like for the pels??
Posted on 2/19/17 at 5:33 pm to Ryan3232
Good lord how many first round picks are we giving them? A million?
Posted on 2/19/17 at 5:36 pm to TigerinATL
I don't think we have the firepower for PG. As you said, the pick/young talent hoarding teams don't have glaring needs at C anymore and may not be as willing to risk Boogie turning a lockeroom toxic. Every team could use a two way wing who can score and shoot. BOS, PHI, DEN would outbid us.

We have also inquired about Paul George

Looks like it's Buddy, the 2017 first (gotta be unprotected I would assume) and one more 1st rounder that we're offering.

Shite let's get them both..... Might not be able to field a team in 2024 but f it...
