Ferris Bueller is the fantasy film.
Breakfast Club is the best "film".
Fast Times catches the spirit of my high school experience the best.
Sixteen Candles is probably going to speak to girls of that era more than dudes.
For whatever reason, I don't consider the Cusack films "teen" films - I have them in a different category, although I don't deny they're teen oriented - Better Off Dead/One Crazy Summer/Say Anything.

if dazed and confused had been released a few years earlier, it would have been my pick.
But, i'll stick with Porky's.

Another good choice, but I didn't appreciate Porky's until later.

Really, any teen movie about trying to get high/drunk and get laid in either order pretty much represents boys' teen years.

I'm going to go a little off-center at the top of my list of GOAT 80s Teen movies.
1. Red Dawn - no shite. This was a movie about teens fighting the great enemy of the age, the Communists. It was a cathartic fantasy for young adults who grew up with an oil crisis, a hostage crisis, a saber-rattling Russia, and a renewed sense of Patriotism with the Reagan administration. The adults in the movie were either enemies of the kids or dependent on the kids. A total reversal of the natural order.
2. Risky Business - another story of rebellion, with two leads that offered sex appeal to both young men and young women. The story was grounded in something we all experienced... parental expectations vs. personal uncertainty. Teen angst done with sophistication.
3. The Outsiders - Launching pad for tons of teen stars who later hit it big.
4. The Karate Kid - this movie was pretty damn huge when it came out. Some movies, like Sixteen Candles, got bigger on home video and HBO. But others were in-theater monsters, like this one. Classic tale of stranger in a strange land, combined with a compelling gatekeeper and a love triangle. Lots of kids could relate to this one.
5. Sixteen Candles - this is one that we watched over and over and over again, and seemingly everyone could recite every punch line, at the time. It was legitimately funny back then. But, I have to say... I don't think this movie has aged well. There's a LOT of assholes in this movie. But back then, we just thought it was funny. Sign of the times, perhaps? The more years go by, the more value this movie has as a time capsule.
Lastly, I may take some heat for this, but...
OVERRATED: The Breakfast Club
I never liked this movie, even as a teen. It felt like a collection of stereotyped characters grouped together to tell me how much being a teen sucks, and to tell you the truth, being a teen in the 80's was pretty damn awesome. I just didn't like the negativity of the characters, and I couldn't relate. It felt preachy then, and still does.

I tend to agree, as a teen during the 80's, I didn't particularly identify with that cast of characters. It was like someone much older wrote a movie(John Hughes) about being a teen in the 80's, but they obviously weren't one themselves.
Mine would be:
1. 16 Candles
2. Pretty in Pink
3. Risky Business
4. Farris Beullers
5. The Sure Thing
and I can confidently say that the scene in the Principal's office from Porky's is the funniest 10 minutes ever filmed.

I am guessing you don't know what "80's Teen Movies" are.
The Goonies is kind of one

That would be TANK with C. Thomas Howell and James Garner. Not a teen movie per se but still a great movie.
