If someone doesn't like the Ramones, there is no point in discussing music with them any longer...

Pop country. If you like that crap, there's probably not much we'll agree on with music.

Prince. If you're around my age(44) and don't like Prince, there's probably not much we'll agree on with music.

That's about it for me. Most other likes/interests are I'm pretty flexible with.

I don't judge people by their music tastes.

Hey man--if it floats your boat, that's all that matters.

I listen to just about anything. I have my preferences and some aversions, but am still open to just about any music.

There are so many incredible recordings that some folks will never hear because they are close minded to a particular artist or genre because it "isn't cool"...their loss.

Coldplay, Nickelback, Chainsmokers, Drake, Foreigner, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, and Luke Bryan. If they like more than 1 of the above, they're out.

I'm not all that particular about what I like but I don't care what others enjoy. Though I may be secretly judging adult males from back home that ride around late night and listen to bro country, it's not my place to force my opinions on them. But yea, frick anyone listening to Luke Bryan.

If you don't at least enjoy jamming to the occasional Blink 182 song your taste in music probably sucks and you probably aren't any fun.

If there isn't any kind of rap you like whether it be old school 80's to current, your taste in music probably sucks and you probably aren't any fun.

Also, nobody is too cool to like Taylor Swift

If they listen to anything by anybody that does not write and perform their own songs.

In my younger days I was big into the indie rock/punk scene and looked down on anyone who liked any sort of popular music. Then I got older and realized that there are good pop songs and that what kind of music a person listens to doesn't really define who a person is.

...unless we are talking about the Insane Clown Posse.

Neither do I... hell, one of my closest friends favorite band is DMB...

But I do judge his musical taste and he's not allowed to touch the stereo... ever

If you're the type of person who laughs at Friday by Rebecca Black but somehow thinks Love on the Weekend is a quality song, I don't want to know you

rap music

i'd say EDM, but we have some "friends" who like it. They're younger though, so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I think that's just this generations "jam band".

the Don Henley of grunge.

Middle-aged men worshipping at the feet of Grohl while he bangs out Sugar rip-off riffs.

That’s just piss weak FM radio dribble.

The music post-debut album is utter shite. Grohl radiates ‘Chancer’.

All their music kind of blends into each other.

I want them to make an album that sounds like a band in a room, not a shiny piece of over-produced crap.

I thought they only had one song…?

Too much bombastic, overbaked, reaching for the Top 20, arena rockage pip with mostly crap lyrics… nice guys, though.

Lowest common denominator rock. Fast food rock. He should put the guitar and microphone down and go back behind the drums where he belongs.

He distilled the essence of power pop, grunge, riff rock, punk-by-numbers and stadium rock, removed all joy from the result and milked that motherfricker for all it was worth.

Stinkin’ pile of wet manure, but no worse than Lenny Kravitz.

Ripped off Bob Mould’s Sugar riffs.

Wouldn’t have made it past a corner pub had it not been for his previous job position and (of course) Pat Smear.

I’m just too fricking smart to like them.

It’s wanker shite, for Christ’s sake.

Poo Blighters . They really are the pits. Worse than ISIS.

Like: a few great songs; they put in the charts some nice loud guitars (folks, did you notice that 1993 ended 20+ years ago?); he’s a good guy; sense of humour; true, great inspiration from Bob Mould.

Their music is meh, not that bad if you’re into commercial rock. Dave Grohl loses points for his “anybody who doesn’t make music the exact way I make music isn’t making real music” stance.

The beige of rock music.

i agree with it ALL ...

I'm old and don't really have any friends anymore, so I don't care I guess....
But I diid have to hang out with my wife's coworkers husband the other day and somehow in a casual conversation he let me know he used to go to korn concerts.

I had no response for that...it was a bit awkward moving forward.

Foo Fighters are the 2000s version of 80s and 90s Bon Jovi.
