re: What judgement do you pass on Ford Platinum owners?

I had one. During my ownership, I fit into most of the stereotypes. I would put it in 4H when it rained to keep the t-case greased . I went to buy a base lariat but it worked out that the a fully optioned platinum was $2,500 more (list price on the nav alone) so it seemed like a good buy. I bought the truck because I planned on getting a nice deerskin crossover box, but that never materialized. I used it occasionally for truck uses, but it was mainly just nice transportation. Most places I hunt there is a camp truck or 4wheeler so the need to get into bad situations was limited.

do you link Ford Platinum owners into, namely the F150.
Soccor moms. Also people who way overpay for things.
It also means I can get a better deal, because they made so much off another person.

Do you really not see the difference?
obviously not. hence my disagreement. and it's also kind of stupid to assume all platinum truck owners baby their trucks and don't use it for their intended purposes. Same with King Ranch, just cause someone owns a KR doesn't mean they don't "pull trucks out of mud" etc.

No one thinks he is going to lay a Platinum over in a ditch or use it to pull out another stuck truck.

A good ole fashioned OB dick measuring contest, we haven't had one of these in a while.

Not all F250 platinum drivers are dickbags, but all dickbags drive F250 platinums.
The Ford F-250 attracts more frick faced losers in the south than any other vehicle.

they are either over compensating for something or they like nice things......either way I don't care!
But I do agree that the Platinum tailgate is hideous! I would't buy one just for that alone.

Would if be a safe assumption to say Chad has a lifted f 250?
Posted on 2/14/17 at 10:33 am to jorconalx
He probably does, but the dumbfrick has something to tow so he's not in the class being shite upon. I guess he's too dumb/mad to see that.

i'm not personally offended by anything. i can just point out levels of hypocrisy. A product being "nice" is mere personal prerogative and wants. A lift on a truck vs a cooler tailgate and deploying platinum running boards (you know cause platinums don't go mudding) are all various different taste for people liking nice stuff on trucks. Saying one is less tolerable than the other bc these people "just like nice stuff" is weak and hypocritical and short sighted. My comment to TigerDeacon had nothing to do with me taking personal offense to anything.

Seriously, I would love to know where you shop for trucks.

One is buying the thing for precisely what it's made for. The other is not. Level of hypocrisy = 0.

What if said person driving a jacked f250 buys a shite load of groceries????
Whos the hypocrite now?

I honestly dont care if people like nice things, i just think a lariat looks better than a platinum.

Oh yea? Where is the assumption made clear that platinum trucks are not designed for actual truck usage and mudding and other truck needs that a base line truck is acceptably used for? And lifting a truck is not always solely for "mudding". maybe i want to lift a truck bc i like additional flood water clearance in S. LA?
