I also know of a guy with a raptor. Had it for over a year and one day his pawpaw told him to bring a pack of smokes to him on the tractor(works in the cane field). Ol boy called my cousin and asked him if the raptor was a 4x4 and if so, how to turn it on

I don't pass any judgement.
We simply have very very very different priorities in life.
I would get pissed If someone got mud in my luxury truck.

Damn. Didn't realize the platinum was so hated. I have one and love it.
Got a great deal on it and it ended up costing the same as a Lariat other places.
The block of mud that develops on the flip out running boards during hunting season is annoying but hey...at least I'm using the four wheel drive.

I'm not a fan of the platinum but I showed my distaste by not buying one

I don't judge them any different then I do the young urbanite living in a subdivision who drives an F250. I usually either like the truck or I don't.

I live in suburbia and did drive an f350 king ranch but I do own property and my trucks while comfortable work and work hard. I put 200k miles on it before it blew and now have a 2500 GMC that I have put 180k on and while clean it works its arse off too. Has plenty of dings and cracked windshield and if you look in the bed it is spray lined with a rubber mat that is beat to shite. At this moment in my garage it has a floor jack, few pieces of 6x6 lumber, flat front tractor tire, grease gun, fishing rod, small non yeti ice chest and probably 30lbs of 6/10 limestone road base spread all around.
When I get done with this one I'll probably go back to a king ranch and might even go to the 150 just for a bit of a smoother ride that as I get older appreciate more and my last three feel like riding in concrete trucks.
But the 4 wheel drive gets used and they tow tons of shite from boats, tractors and large heavy industrial equipment.
The best thing about my trucks is my daughter can drive them, tow whatever is behind them (including backing a boat trailer down a launch) and knows when to put in 4 wheel drive and how too. I'm more proud of that than any truck.
But if you want one to just drive to the beauty parlor so be it. None of my business.

Oh shite Polar, I heard he didn't even know she was married

I don't give a shite about what another man drives but I'll say this much: I just bought a new 150 that I custom ordered and I loaded it up with all the bells and whistles but can't stand the look up the platinum and am weary (probably for no reason) of the automatic running boards considering my common encounters with gumbo mud so I just made it a lariat. What is annoying me is everyone asks if I got the platinum and when I tell them no they always say something like "oh you didn't want to pay for all the cool shite?" Or "ohh so you didn't want the 360 degree camera system?" As if you can only get those things with a platinum
While this is brilliant marketing by Ford as it makes them more money when ppl order a platinum after about the 12th person I just wanted to yell rYOU CAN ORDER THE TRUCK WITH WHATEVER THE frick YOU WANT ON IT AND YES I HAVE ALL THAT shite
Idk why but this has really bugged me

Just for future reference, the retractable running boards are great. I especially like them in muddy boots because they are so wide - way wider than most fixed boards.
They do tend to build up mud on the front part if you drive in slop, and once in a while they don't deploy fast enough if you're really in a hurry jumping in or out. But overall they are great.
Oh, and a fully loaded Lariat is my favorite package. Better looking than either KR or Platinum.

The head honcho over here at work drives a platinum. It's always squeaky clean. Let's just say he's not my favorite person for reasons other than the truck he drives. But it's no worse than the wanna be redneck over here that drives the jacked up Silverado with huge mud grip tires that always looks like it just came off the showroom floor. I don't think that truck has ever seen a dirt under the tires.
