This is probably one of the most upvoted threads the OT's ever had. I'm not sure if that's sad or if I should be impressed.

Maybe they just aren't as gullible as you. It's unheard of for a first time DWI offender to have to blow into a breathalyzer AT HOME 3 TIMES A DAY
My buddy has a deal like this that just went into effect last Tuesday. First time as far as I know

If she fails the breathalyzer test, all that proves is that she was drinking. It is illegal to drive while drinking or drunk.. obviously, but I don't get the in-home thing.
The goal is to keep her from drinking and driving.
If she gets drunk at home, how long does it take to walk 30 feet to her car and drive drunk?
This shows she has no intention off stopping.

How very wrong you are. In many states over the last 10 years, the first timers get the harshest sentence so they never have to be processed again.

The judge said zero alcohol, in the car or the house until this is over.
This is in Texas and apparently they are tough.
You also have a 6 month license suspension, SR22 Insurance , victim impact classes, 2 years probation, a $1,000 fine and community service.
And this is for 1st Offense

Remember Torch, SR22 should only be required with a conviction. If she can avoid it at all don't let her plead guilty or get a conviction for DUI.

Sure it wasn't mouthwash that set off the blowing thing? Mouthwash has alcohol in it.

I know two different individuals who have been incarcerated for non-violent crimes...both of their wives filed for divorce within two days of them going to jail.
