Our mayor will make going after crimes like this a priority.

Apartment complex in that area with lights and cameras doing some negative recruiting for next fall.

Apartment where incident took place is called The Oliver. It was formerly named Crescent Heights.

It's probably those apartments across the street on the LSU side. Poorly lit.

I hate to be cynical but these incidents usually turn out that one of the residents of the apartment owed someone money for drugs.

Yeah it's usually the victim's fault in BR

Random home invasions in BR are pretty rare. Especially in a college apartment or townhome. Hell, someone was arrested yesterday for being in on a "home invasion" of some students just north of campus in December.

When I lived at Burbank Commons years ago it was the maintenance guys that were stealing stuff. They would then store it in the maintenance shed until it was time to move the goods.

Unfortunately more than the perpetrator has to eat for the next meal!
I agree with you though. These people wait for the bars to close go home and then follow these kids home and hold them all up at their apartments.

I fail to see how it is the responsibility of LSU to police off campus apartments, but this guy sure thinks they should
