I don't get the impression that this show is fake. Likely they would gave produced some "treasure" by now if it were.

I like the pirate ship theory. Oak Island was originally 2 islands with a narrow shallow channel between. They sailed the boat into the channel and then used stones and dirt to wall it off and bury the boat, creating the swamp.
The treasure was long ago retrieved, but much of the boat remains buried in pieces.

You don't have to watch it because believe you me......if they find the treasure it will be all over the news. That's why I stopped watching finding Bigfoot. No sense in watching and waiting because we will know if they find something

I'm always telling my wife the same thing about all the monster and ghost shows. If they ever found anything we'd know about it before the show ever aired. Takes out all suspense. "Join us next week and watch us not find shite again".

Every time I scroll past that show it boggles my mind that it actually has viewers. The reality shows have all become manufactured drama but Oak Island is the worst of the bunch. There's nothing there and yet it keeps going on and on.
