supplier to the storage warehouse

You know the supplier isn't the producer, right?

Just because they drop it off from the same truck and it's stored at the same facility doesn't mean they picked it up from the same farm.

Unless your pop and his company are skimming Whole Foods and handing them incorrectly packaged inferior product, I'm gonna have to say your dad may be misinformed.

Well since that's the first time you specifically mentioned ANY of those particular foods. You've now competed the original thought you had about 15 posts later.

You want high quality food you have to catch it, grow it, or raise it. And that still doesn't guarantee anything. Quit being a sucker. Shop at your local grocery and be done.

This^ exactly! WF is really a late comer to an established supply chain. Can anyone find anything ever published stating WF has setup a totally new system from farm to market? Nope! They buy from the same distributor chain everyone else does.

Apples, in say New Orleans, all come from the same set of suppliers. WF has not setup and established a whole new apple supply to the city. Same for 'taters, 'maters, okra, cabbage, lettuce, peas, etc., etc., etc.. Sure some of the specialty meats and such are not the same as WM, Piggly Wiggly, Albertson's, etc.. But, those specialty meats are the same as the other specialty meat carriers in the same area.

If it's farmed raised, it's the same Chilean trash that all other grocery stores sale.

I don't think much Salmon comes from Chili

the majority of farm Salmon comes from Canadaian farms

If you shop organic Costco then Whole Foods and Trader Joes are your cheapest options in Baton Rouge.
their 365 brand is pretty good and reasonably priced. Where WF gets you is their prepared food.

They misled people into thinking they are an organic grocery store when in reality they sell more than 50% conventional (non-organic) foods. And the average "look at me" shopper doesn't know what "conventional" means so they over pay for the same things they can get at Walmart.

I commented to your post and its unfortunate you don't live near an HEB Central Market. It's a specialty HEB store. There's only a few in the country. I made the comment because you said you like Whole Foods. You said you're doing fine with Whole Foods to which I replied and said I'm sure you are, but the meat and fish at Central Market are phenomenal.

Drink less man, it's a weeknight.
