No. You don't understand how bureaucratic government, no matter the level, works do you?

I'm an attorney and have done some child protective work. I know very well how this system works. But by all means, let's take one person at their word and take a cue from the liberals and all get outraged.

actually its a flawed system. They can literally go before a judge, and based on lies, get an order without the defendant being there.

Most of the time, the judge never doubts them and just signs off on it.

The indication of abuse in this case was not sending her kids to school.

She needn't worry.......Reverend Al and Gloria Allred will be working tirelessly to see she gets justice.

Grats. Then you should be intimately familiar with how often the system is abused to make a point, or just out of sheer incompetence.

Based on my experience in government, I'll take the word of the parent.

Homeschooling laws vary widely by state. Each state creates its own level of monitoring because education is delegated to the states not to the feds. NY is notorious for being a difficult and disorganized state to homeschool in. I'm not familiar with their laws so I don't know what they require in terms of reporting, but I don't know of any states that require a particular curriculum to be followed in a home school.

Are you familiar with how low the bar is for this? Which is to say, there really isn't even a bar

I'll wait until all the facts are laid out to make a judgment. But I doubt that this lady's kids were taken away by a local judge and local authorities simply because she homeschools.

Buerocracy at its finest. I can't imagine my kids being stolen from me for 3 weeks because some simple minded, government employed union member fricked up. Lawsuits don't make this right, someone honestly deserves a brutal asswhipping.

Left out some key info I see. The usual jjshill edit.

If she didn't have full legal custody she has violated the law. Pretty straight forward. But shill on

Gotta be way more to the story here.

there usually is, but I've seen this shite firsthand and without justification, in years past. Homeschooling is much more acceptable nowadays and these incidents are usually more complicated than they may appear from this sort of fact summary.

Wonder if you'd be singing the same tune if government people came and took your kids? Don't think it can happen? OK. Just remember these words, "a government powerful enough to give you everything is also powerful enough to take everything away as well".

My attorney would be there yesterday with millions for emotional damage in a lawsuit. I would also demand that it go to trial just to embarrass every person who was involved in this story.

The only way I would settle is if the court mandates that all of the above become my personal servants for the remainder of their lives and that any assets/property/income they or their children produce is mine and belong to my family in perpetuity.

Nobody left anything out. It's talked about in the thread. She has full custody.

Still melting over your lost job. I keep telling you. They are hiring protesters. You must not have the balls for it.

Well Costanza is a self-admitted attorney.

...not to mention an Auburn fan.

Two very good reasons to take anything he/she says with a grain of salt.
