My point is why would they hire a guy who's only been a full time OC for a full season once in his career? And that was at the colllege level back in 2007. Why chose an unproven guy like him to run your NFL offense? It's a questionable and possibly risky hire for any NFL team to make.

I'm just actually happy to see an NFL team hire someone from the college ranks. Instead of hiring some retread HC/OC.

Does Quin have a relationship with Sark?
This seems like it's coming out of left field, but they've known for a while that Shannahan was leaving. Hiring somebody just 2 days after that crushing defeat means that he'd already made his mind up. I wonder if there were any official interviews.

Can't say I'm happy that he's leaving Alabama...but what the hell is Atlanta thinking? He was their best option?
