I got so sick of the advertisements and the thugs in the audience talking on their phones or texting during the movie that I went all in on a media room in our house.
We constructed it like a theater with double reclining theater seats, a 70 inch UHD Samsung TV, a five speaker, digital sound JBL Sound Surround system including a sub-woofer that you can feel in your chest when explosions occur in a movie and "blackout" curtains on the all windows.
We buy BluRay DVD's or get HBO, NetFlix, Amazon or Cox movies on demand.
It's one of the best investments we've ever made.
PS-We even have a popcorn microwave.

Hack a fire stick with kodi and you can watch movies still in theatres and not give money to democrats

When do we get some affirmative action for other folks in B-Ball?
Wouldn't dims agree since black males only make up 7% of the population (probably 1% of those are in jail) there should be a lot more Caucasians, Asians, etc., given quota slots so they can earn all that money?
dims love quotas and diversity, don't they? You'd think they'd want this for all professional sports.
Diversity makes us stronger, right?

Well haven't been in nearly that long eithe . We went for a much needed break from our 3 month old and 2 adopted kids (one is African American).. and it's not like we went to a SJW movie. We saw the movie Gold

Yes, the racism shown by major league sports is astounding. Whites, Asians, and Hispanics are way under-represented. They are being excluded from the million$.

I didn't know how to install it. I'm technology stupid.
I got a professional sound/video guy to do it. We also installed 4 smaller (28") HD TV's around the big TV so that during college football season we can watch 5 college games simultaneously, with the audio off on the 4 smaller TV's, of course. It's like sitting in a sports bar watching all the games.
The guy also set up a multi-device programmable remote control so I don't have to search through 7 remotes until I get the one that does what I want to do.
To break even on what I spent versus going to the movies, all I have to do is watch 2,429 movies, give or take, before I die.

Neither of us are movie buffs. The last non-cartoon movie we went to a theater to see was Les Miserables the day after Christmas, 2012.
But I'm going to tell you where Hollywood is hitting hard - kid's shows.
Most of the kid's shows are about social justice these days. That damn Sofia the First is a crazy SJW. Animal rights one week, Immigrants the next. Environment one week, girls rights the next.

Liberals are smart enough to control not only the media but the tech companies as well. Being anti-science and anti-arts doesn't lend itself to prosperity in culture wars.
