Who has the best King Cakes? We are doing the King Cake rotation at work and we want to switch it up. We already had one from Ralph's Grocery and Donut Hole and both were fantastic.

Calandro's is the best in BR. Proper moisture content and it's not too sweet.

Calandro's and Ambrosia are the best in BR. Haydel's for New Orleans IMO

Navarre's in Springfield used to have the best but they changed up everything about the blueberry cream cheese king cake this year. Bread is different/dry, filling taste like it came out of a can and the the cream cheese is different too.

Yup... calandros is on point.

I enjoy the plain, but they may have 10-15 different flavors to choose from

I had a Wal-Mart king cake and a McKenzies and a Hi-do none of which we loved. Made it into a really good bread pudding with rum sauce tonight.

yum.
Great way to repurpose bland king cake.
