I found out today 2 people I know spent time in jail when they were young. They both spent time for auto theft. I had no idea they had been in prison.

What say you?

I have never been in jail.

Jail?

Twice. A few hours for shoplifting a box of Little Debbie's and an overnight for possession of mushrooms and marijuana.

Prison?

Not yet.

I've been in jail for a couple of hours.

Public intoxication the day I took my last final exam in college. Graduation was the following day (well technically later that day since it was already like 4 AM).

That whole night was awesome

I'm from Russia in the 80s. If you didn't go to jail during that time you were a snitch or a pussy, you sound like both for making this thread.

About 3.5 days in county jail. Probation violation.

It started because I got arrested for a couple grams of weed. For that I was put on probation with mandatory drug classes and random drug tests. Several months into my probation I was at a music festival with some friends and decided to drink a beer. Right as I crack open the beer and take my first sip ATF agents roll up on a golf cart and ask for ID. I was 20, literally 1 month from being 21 and he arrests me for Minor In Possession of Alcohol (MIP). a-hole ATF agent actually told me he would have normally let me go with a warning but he caught a kid with moonshine earlier in the day and wanted informants on moonshine stills but I didn't know any hillbillies with moonshine stills so he booked me. Because of the MIP my a-hole PO sends my weed case back to court. Day I went back to court some a-hole redneck smarted off to the judge and got him in a bad mood so instead of starting my probation over, he decides to throw me in jail. Threatened to leave me in there the full 3 months for 2 grams of weed, but ended up pulling me out after the weekend.

So effectively I was sent to jail for 2 grams of a plant and 1 sip of beer 1 month before I turned 21. And only because the ATF agent, PO, and judge all happened to be in pissy moods when I dealt with them. Our justice system at work, folks

But in retrospect I'm actually glad things went down how they did. It was a terrible 3.5 days but afterwards my probation became unsupervised saving me months of hassle and thousands of dollars by not having the drug classes or random drug screens.

Nope. Have had a few times I absolutely should have. But nope. White privilege. And always ending up with cops who know my grandpa somehow.

Pissing in public? Ima circle the block. Be where you're going before I get back.

Secret service? No biggie.

Weed, coke, guns, cash? Call mom n dad n show them. Throw away the drugs. Don't do it again.

Selling vyvanse out of the fraternity house? Nada.

Although I did get in trouble from LSU for one of my Dumbass friends throwing a spray paint can in a fire one night. Apparently that's frowned upon

3 stints in the drunk tank for DUI. 12 hrs, 6 hrs and 6hrs.

All three were dismissed.

A good CD lawyer is worth his weight in gold, in more ways than one. #WhitePrivilege
