Waste of money: of course

Cheaper than that: Nope. Litigation costs alone will be mind-boggling. The vast majority of land along the border is privately owned. I guess they're just going to force all those citizens to sell their land. Or will they just seize it? So much freedom and liberty, right?

If you remotely think it through, the price he's proposing is completely unfeasible. No one will do it for that price. That doesn't come close to covering the brick, concrete, steel, land, or labor that would come with it.

The concrete per mile would cost $4.2 million.

You're claiming labor and steel would cost $8 million per mile?

Concrete is a raw material. That's like me saying when building a house "The wood is going to cost me 100K. You're claiming that the house will cost me $500K?"

You're fricking retarded.

Having hired contractors to build stuff, I have a simple rule. If a contractor says something is black, I'm certain it's white.

Never believe contractors, always have them sign lien waivers. As a general rule, they've never seen a bill they intend to pay, or a job they can bid accuratlery, or track and account for properly while it is in process.

Funny business, most aren't smart enough to know whether they're even making money until the job is complete, and many don't even know at that point.

Hopefully this helps you understand why I wouldn't ask a contractor anything.

While I think the pen is mightier than the mortar right now you can't really be saying that ANY country has no borders if a citizen lives there?

20 feet is worthless. Pretty standard length for a big ladder. You've got to get it up to 30, which Trump has said before. 10 feet wide seems reasonable for that, especially since I'm quarters and staircases on the wall. You don't need it tipping over. I think my dimensions are what they're going off of at least on the top of their head.

Maybe they get it to 8 feet wide and 27 feet tall, whatever, but it's still going to cost more than 12.5 million a mile.

How many times do you have to be told that we are not paying for it? Mexico will pay for this wall one way or another.

Please explain the logic behind that.

I'm not sure why the cost even matters considering Mexico is going to pay for it.

The Great Wall is about 10 feet wide and you don't want it fricking up.

And newsflash, you can't drive a chariot on it either.

Ok dipshit, with your vast knowledge of civil construction estimating, why don't you tell us exactly how much it costs per mile and how you got to that number.
