How much more of Johnny Jones can LSU take?

As if it was not enough that LSU did not make the NCAA Tournament after landing the No. 1 recruiting class for the 2015-2016 season, Jones has led the Tigers to a 9-9 start and a 1-6 SEC record thus far this season.

We all know that the ultimate embarrassment has yet to come; the dreaded match-up against Kentucky... IN RUPP ARENA!

Will Johnny Jones be fired after Kentucky, be fired after the season is complete, or be given one more season?

One more season to what? Watch attendance drop, be mediocre, watch the best in state talent leave, see if we can give up 90 every night, not make it to the tournament, deny a nit bid. What else do we need to keep him around for?

Serious question. What benefit does LSU get from letting him go now? They would have to essentially run the the table to make the NCAT. Is that going to happen under an interim coach? And if it did, is it out of the realm of possibility that Joe Alleva would just hire the interim and not conduct a full coaching search? He got a jump on everyone by firming Miles midseason and ultimately hired a guy he could have hired yesterday without even getting into a full scale search at the end of the season

Evidently someone at LSU (AD JA) can take more than the rest of us can

Rumors are starting that if he loses the next 5 it'll make a 10 game streak and he could be fired once that happens. I think it's too late but that's what was reported on the radio tnite.

Wish - No more and they fire him after the next loss.
Reality - End of the season because our AD is too chicken to make two big fires mid-season.

LSU will not win another basketball game this season. If they do it will be an upset. Jones inability to be competitive in games and lack of coaching will definitely get him fired at end of season. Sad to see how far LSU has dropped in just 1 season.

Alleva doesn't want to fire him mid-season. The last thing he wants is to get rid of Jones and some assistant takes over and does moderately well.

The main concern now should be about the current players (especially who will be with the team next seasons) and the recruitment!

LSU is better off letting the season end where it may fall this year.

There is no benefit for firing Jones today. There are way too many issues that just couldn't be fully solved in the middle of the season by anyone to be honest.

What you have to hope is that Alleva will conduct a full coaching search after the season is done and see who is available to hire without backing off and going internal or cheap.
