Dude, one page ago, this was my post:

There was a new one on Siegen about five years ago. Lines out the door for the first few weeks, then nothing.

Sort of like that Krispy Kreme craze where the police had to block off lanes for the cars waiting to get in, then everybody had their taste and moved on.

The Shakeys in Kenilworth Mall kicked arse.

I was 14 and would eat pizza, the fries and numerous pitchers of Dixie(when Dixie was good).

The new Dixie is terrible.

Of course, cultcha close down Kenilworth.

Any you NOLA folks remember Mr. C's right in front of Kenilworth Mall?

Great times were had. Professional Pool tables and Bouree every night.

Cultcha ruined that, too.

Jimbo's

How TF can I forget about that place. We used to buy all our beer there in HS. Had a buddy that worked there and cut the top of his thumb off slicing deli meat for sammiches one day.

I knew the lady who owned the Broadmoor Theater's grandson. Her name was Mrs. Ethel. We called her EK. Also The Caterie was in the same shopping center as New Jew. How about Frisco's off of Wooddale?
Bob and Ronnie started out at Sound City and left there and opened up their own shop, I spent just about all of the money I made playing at The Sports Page and The Rack in their store.

Sonny's BBQ & Godfather's Pizza. My barber had a shop on Florida Blvd., just east of Sherwood Forest in a shopping center...Think the Peking Garden was close. Barber's name was Sam Locicero

For real...The Common Point was a the hot spot in BR for a couple of years. The soak n poke next door was the beneficiary of a lot of those boy meets girl.

I never went to the soak n poke either. I start itching just thinking about it.

I did have a few successful nights at the CP though. Was Floyd Brown's on Airline, before, after or during the time of CP? Floyd's place was a pussy haven.

About the same time. Maybe a little later. Tuesday and Thursday nights The Sports Page was ladies night for some rock and roll chicks, then the point on Wednesday and Peppy's on the weekend. Man great times

my wife;s family all lived in sherwood forest or broadmoor. So I spent a lot of time there in the mid 90s. I am betting that some of you knew her.
