About 10 years ago or so, I had to meet someone with the Women's Hospital at the Broadmoor Theater for business. They were using it to store some things. OMG, you couldn't fathom how bad that place looked inside.

Can't believe no one mentioned Shakys Pizza @ Goodwood/Airline...spent many a high school lunch hour there downing pitchers of beer with all you could eat pizza/fried chicken...good times
Also Pasquales Pizza a little further down Fla. Blvd....as a high schooler, I worked there P/T, mainly for the beer after closing...lol Owned/run by the outlaw Burkett clan !

Johnny Burkett. I loved that Michelob on tap there. Two of my good friends worked there around then. Does DF or MO initials ring a bell. Neither are still alive today.

I was just a young punk when I met Jimmy. He could be very intimidating until you proved to him that you weren't a pussy. I was lucky he didn't kill me.

Common Point...Next door was a soak & poke place where you could rent hot tubs by the hour. STD's & hot tub folliculitis were rampant.

Yep. Soak and Poke went out of business when AIDS came around.

Jimbo's for beer and Jo Lee's on Florida for the cheap Torada tequila with the different-colored Mexican hats on top of the bottles. My SR year of HS I had all the different colored hats stretching across my dashboard.
