Founding an org chapter on campus.

So I'm founding an organization at my university. I was wondering if anyone has any experience/success with pitching a new organization on a college campus. I have about ten friends I can get, but I have no experience in recruiting students for this type of thing. As far as I know, every university in Louisiana has a chapter. I'm just posting for suggestions on recruiting new members for this type of thing. With this being TD, I expect to catch a bit of annoyance, because most posts annoy people (irony.) Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does this have anything to do with L. Ron Hubbard?

Is this a org that has a tie to a specific academic area? Or just a general interest/cause/activity?

Some of my buddies founded a chapter of their fraternity at LSU. Lot of hard work, but great life experience for them. Will take persistence, handing out flyers, and a social media presence etc. if you want to be successful

I once founded an organization called "the ex presidents".
It didn't work out so well in the end.
