No, "medium" means "maybe Golden Corral is more your speed".

People die every day. This is the world we live in. I'm sorry for this guy, and I hope he pulls through, but how exactly is talking about normal shite hurting his chances?

While I agree with your post the pre-Katrina crime rates weren't much different.

This is at least the 5th incident with a gun in the Government St. corridor in the last 2 months.

I live here and love my neighborhood and the people that live here. Those coming into the area that are committing these acts need to find out they aren't welcome.

Typical response is "What if the family were to read this thread and see how their tragedy was treated so callously and cavalierly?"

You probably won't get a description of the shooter for fear of "racial profiling."

Although Calvins was once a Piggly Wiggly prior to the shooting , that was not the store that the manager and Betty Smothers were coming from. It was a Piggly Wiggly possibly where the Winn Dixie was behind Superior Grill or maybe on Florida St.
I used to throw darts with a guy who was a manager there that was sick the night of the shooting. He always said by all rights it should have been him with Betty that night.

Betty Smothers was working at Bocage IGA when Ziegler was the owner and Calvin was the General Manager. The manager on duty was Kimen Lee and she was shot 4 times and Betty Smothers was killed. Kimen drove the police unit to the then 7-11 at Lobdell and Jefferson Hwy which is now a Circle K and the girl on duty called 911.The store is now Calvins after Ziegler sold it to him and Dr. hill, who owns Bocage Village Shopping Center helped finance it because he didn't want. To lose the tenant.

Kimen Lee, Calvin Lindsey and I all grew up together. My wife and I lived off Capital Heights and heard all the sirens.

The shopping center was originally Twin Cedars and the store was a Winn Dixie until the mid 70's, then Piggly Wiggly, then Ziegler changed to the IGA. TG&Y was in there as was Dearmans.

my bil is stable. Doctors are saying its a miracle. The bullets just barely missed his heart and lungs. One of them clipped his liver but he's going to ok Thank you, Jesus! My nephew, being as young as he is, doesn't understand what's going on and why he's getting a lot of attention.
