Remember how the ACC organized so FSU and Miami would be in different divisions?

Respect to Clemson's win but it is hard to take that conference seriously for football.

I don't get it. What's the problem?

The thread title and your OP make no sense

No offense but you're a fricking idiot.

They have a strong division and a weak division. Just like the SEC, just like the B1G...
What's your beef?

And Clemson is in the strong division. The other half of the league is a complete joke.

SEC at least vaguely followed geographical lines for divisions. ACC structured its entire conference around 2 teams in Florida. One of which has yet to play for the conference title.

But the SEC was not divided that way in 1992.

You mean the shitty division that produced the only team to actually beat Clemson this year?
The coastal division had 1-10 win team, 2 9-win teams, and 2 8-win teams. The Atlantic division had a 14-win team, a 10-win team, and a 9-win team. They obviously had the best team overall but Louisville wasn't really that good. They played the 2 bottom teams from the other division in addition to the shitty NC State, Wake Forest, Boston College, Syracuse quartet from their own division.
You don't know what the frick you're talking about.

acc is a shitty conference that will die in the next realignment. it has 3 good programs in clemson, fsu, vt. everyone else sucks.

Has had teams in each of the CFP, teams in the Final 4, has 4 teams with over 10 appearances in the CWS (including Miami although most were as an indy)

How would you do it?
Currently:
VaTech
UNC
Miami
Pitt
GaTech
UVa
Duke
Clemson
Louisville
FSU
NCSU
Wake
Syracuse
BC
I suppose if we were reorganizing I'd make it something like this:
Clemson
Miami
VaTech
Pitt
Syracuse
Wake
BC
FSU
Louisville
GaTech
UNC
NCSU
UVa
Duke

So, to answer your question as to who cares: people who like to back up their opinions with pertinent evidence.

Divisions were split up to keep Alabama and Auburn division rivalries intact. It is closer to a North/South line than it is an East/West line.

It is the divisions, not each individual team, that are called East and West. Just as much of West Virginia is east of much of Virginia, if you look at the state as a whole, it's easy to see where the state got its name.
As far as the SEC, the East division is, by and large, the easternmore division and West, westernmore.
And no, it's closer to East-West than North-South. Five of the East division's schools are east of the entire West division; only three of the schools are so north.
