I feel duty bound to help some of you losers out. Some of you seem to be frankly challenged by browser technology.
Perhaps some enterprising cat on the board has linked an exciting Insta-whatever account and you’d like to see or share more with your brethren. When you see this…
And your right clicking skills seem impotent and weak, do not despair. In a Windows/Mozilla environment, simply select the “View page source” option. A new window will open up (if you have your Firefox set right) that outlines the HTML code for the Insta-photo and comments.
Scroll down through the page of weird text until you find an embedded “.jpg” notation WITHIN the body of a line of text that has been hyperlinked. Like this:
Simply cut and paste this into a new browser tab and verify that you have the right photo you want. If you’ve selected the right .jpg, you should end up with
With this JPG location verified, now you have the right photo location URL to use for this:
Armed with this important knowledge, go forth and prosper.

MTDGA.
Good post.
But if you think more than 1% of the idiots here can figure this out then you've overestimated your audience.
Anything other than a blind link is overachieving for most.

You may have a valid point there. I try to do what I can, though, as simply and plainly as possible.

Is there a way to take a screenshot and not have to save it to a program, then upload it to an image share site in order to post?
Posted on 1/7/17 at 11:29 pm to iglass
I agree. No one should dumb down for the sake of the masses.

That woman's outfit probably doesn't afford her much warmth.
I'd volunteer to make up any deficit.

Option 1: *IF* you can see the full shot with no overlay text, and in the size/resolution you like - by all means, just take a screenshot. However, some sites can prohibit simple screen shots.
Option 2: Right click and save the image location. You can use this location directly into the post IMG URL entry box. However, some sites can prohibit right clicks - like Instagram and many other sites with photo galleries.
Option 3 for extremely difficult cases: Follow the procedure I outlined above.

easier way=
install hover zoom extension
hover your mouse over the instagram link LINK
right click enlarged image and copy image address
copy link into img box
profit...
when I figured out this method above on my own I felt like I'd really accomplished something
