Agree with these two in particular. Some restaurant websites are horrible to find general information.
"Can you please not make me sit on uncomfortable wooden benches anymore?"
"Also restaurants still have not managed to make useful websites. Put your hours, address, and phone number/reservation system on the front page please. And put prices on your damn menu."
What are some of your restaurant grievances?

Have specials in writing. I am not going to remember the spiel that the waiter rambles off

Absolutely, and then the waiter acts annoyed when you ask him to repeat one.

In BR, up to date drink menus. Countless times I've been to a place based on what their menu says on untapped/beermenu only to find out it hasn't been updated in weeks.

A few new bars/breweries in Huntsville have a large digital menu linked to the kegs which I really like. The good ole chalkboard works well too, if they keep it updated.

Pretentious food writers....I actually hate these people. Reminds me of the twit that complained about her leggings getting torn in a restaurant review.
Just tell me about a new restaurant and the background. I let my taste buds tell me if I like it.

Damn that is rather nice, only place I could see doing that in BR would be Corporate. I mean they do have a rotating menu on a small TV but it is hard to see from the bar.

The fact that the Food Network + social media now makes everyone an "expert food critic" with license to unnecessarily bash restaurants online.
Also, the faux Japanese restaurant scene remains pathetic. If you know nothing about Japanese cuisine, but have slanty eyes, can cook rice, and have seaweed, fake krab, cream cheese, and aioli on hand, you can open up a "Japanese" restaurant.

Some of these people sound like assholes. I'd never want to have a meal with Laurie.

I don't understand. Are you saying you have to be Japanese to open a Japanese restaurant?

Matt Rodbard sounds like a douchebag.

What if menu items suffer from supply price fluctuations?
I would rather a type of menu that changes more than feasible for a web page.

Their websites should be optimized for mobile. 9 times out of ten, if I am on their website, it is because I am looking at their menu/hours from my phone while on the move.

1. Good website is a big thing for me.
2. Servers who know the beers that they are serving is a plus. I don't mind one who says, "I don't drink stouts, but my co-worker says_____________" is fine with me. They don't have to be experts, just have some knowledge.
3. Agree with specials in writing. I zone out after the first one.

Meh, I don't get upset about the website not having prices. Like the other poster said, if they are rotating items and prices change, they don't have time to update the site weekly.
I have an idea of the price point of a place and a few dollars isn't going to change my mind in if I'm going or what it get.
I agree about having specials written down

digital pour is a game changer
I remember starting a thread about this, and a number of people didn't like the digital boards because they thought it ruined the atmosphere. I want to be able to see what you have on tap before I haul my butt over to your location.
I know. First world problems...

If they had more quality taprooms here it would be awesome
