I was told from an Ole Miss booster in Jackson that it's Florida State and was about $600k. He's been getting a lot of pressure to go anywhere but LSU.

As long as he's out of the SEC West...then not much collateral damage...would be a phenomenal get, so too bad

too much importance is placed on having an elite running back. People upset about losing out on Ackers should be more concerned with getting the best OL, DL, and LB'ers. You control the trenches and have your guys playing on your opponents side of the LOS....... you will be successful.

Not worried at all about our current and committed running backs or receivers. Need more of the big uglies.

Would be more surprised if he picked LSU than FSU; would be disappointed however.

Until he announces, I'm assuming he's not a lock anywhere. Played his recruitment straight up (not an attention seeker or troll) and close to the vest. Lots of pros AND cons to consider for both LSU and FSU.

I'm hoping/wishing he's 'swayable' right up to announcement, that gives LSU a chance. Once he goes public, it's over I'm assuming. No change between announcement and early enrollment however.

Well, Jimmy has been right and Jimmy has been wrong. We will see on this one.

Can we stop giving these recruiting guys clicks? Either he's right and he looks good or he's wrong and then blames his "sources" for the info.

If Akers really isn't coming to LSU, at least give him, a high schooler, a chance to have his day to shine, regardless of who he chooses.

He'd still see the field at LSU, but I've kinda got the feelin he'd have more immediate playing time at FSU even with Jacques Patrick there

Big mistake on his part IMO. Not because he's not coming to LSU but IMO his style fits LSU much more. It's pretty simple if LF would have been in this current system at LSU he would have won the heisman, that and Cam is a smarter runner than LF. Patience is huge for a back and LF didn't still doesn't have much of that. With a little patience LF could have done bigger things at LSU even in the Les offense. Tiger bait now... It's Travis E time.
