Did anybody's BR property tax increase?

I went from $1500 last year with homestead to $2000 this. Outrageous.

Taxes didn't go up, your property value did. They re-assess every three years or so. Taxing districts can either roll back millages so they receive the same amount of money or they can quietly accept the windfall.

Mine has gone up 500 this year but it I Claude's paying for extra police presence in the neighborhood whatever that is. All the good neighborhoods are doing it since the criminals will be going to the neighborhoods to poor to do that

You can go look on the website and see your tax bill. The actual bills haven't been mailed out yet. They are late due to the flood. Should come out in the next week or so and are due by the end of January I think. That's what I've heard anyway.
