Day Z-Alpha game.

I started playing Day Z after my friend showed it to me and I have put a significant amount of time in it and really enjoy the game so far. Obviously it is still an Alpha so it has its annoying bugs and glitches. If you have played it share what you think.
The game is an online multiplayer you can acquire through steam. The map is gigantic it would take you 5 hours and 45 minutes to walk the perimeter. The game is set in Russia that has been taken over by a zombie apocalypse. You start out with very little and must work your way around and collect different gear, weapons, ammunition, and food. You must keep away from roaming zombies. But more importantly spot other players before they spot you because chances are, if you have gear, they will shoot you on sight. You can band together with other players and create a squad to increase your survival odds in a firefight with another squad. The craziest part about the game which can be very disheartening is that whenever you die, you respawn fresh with none of the items you had. I have really enjoyed this game and can't wait to see it progress. Tell me what y'all think.

It's been "early access alpha" for 3 years bud. It will probably never leave early access.

I may have put some time into DayZ. Then I have moments like this and I take a bit of a break. It's a love hate kind of relationship.

DayZ has made little progress for being out a few years now. Every time they come out with a new patch to fix old problems, they create many more. They made a killing off of it and I doubt they'll ever get it to a finished product.
Check out Miscreated, it's also in alpha, but is a much better game and is similar to Dayz

The Day Z Standalone game never even came close to being as good as the mod for Arma 2.
As others have said, there are clones of DayZ that are simply better now because the devs care more.

The .61 fixed a large amount of the bugs that irritated me but added another few that drive me insane. But its a fun one to play with some buds. this game is not a bunch of fun by yourself.

Get your hands on H1Z1 King of The Kill and H1Z1 Just Survive. You will have a much better time with those games.

Lol, DayZ made their money already. My friends bought it when the alpha started over 3 years ago. I said i'd wait til the full game was finished. I'm still waiting, with no end in sight

Day Z was far better as an ARMA 2 mod.
ARMA 3 is the game you are looking for, beats the snot off standalone and clones like H1Z1. So many mods and addons it's ridiculous.
Dean Hall more like it. He stole a bunch of mods to make the mod for ARMA, then he won't allow modding once Bohemia brought him into the fold. Then he abandons Bohemia to make his own company. Guy is a freakin douche.
