Bout 13. Parents said happy birthday. I kissed my mom on the forehead, grabbed my lunch box, told them goodbye and headed to my job at the steel mill.

Gifts have gotten cooler than when I was younger.
One year it was a yeti ice chest.
One year an awesome hand gun.
This last one got me started in the cattle business. I was gifted 5 heffers.
I think my parents are using me to hide money.

That or their trying to ensure that they have a sound retirement plan aka my son won't ditch me in a sad old folk home, you know the kind that just leave them sitting in wheel chairs in the hall way.

Why the hell would I not get a birthday present from my parents? Your parents must have quit loving you at about age 22, sorry.

I I'll get something or money at 30. But wouldn't care if I didnt. My parents both came from large families (7 kids on each side) and I never once remember them getting a present from their parents for anything. And I have slight memories of them at my age. Now my grandparents on my dads side have givenot them a lot over the years, but it never is for a Holliday or anything. So I've just never expected to get them as an adult. Still seems weird when I do.

38 and I still get a gift.
Nothing big though, usually they just mail me a bday card with like a $25-50 gift card.

Haven't gotten there yet. I'm 32.

why should it end? I give them a birthday gift and they are 69. It is a little glad you made another year.
With my sister we don't bother, and Christmas we pick a charity.

Still getting birthday presents but I also still get them something for their birthdays

A birthday is just another day in my family.
A "Happy Birthday" with a "Would do you want to cook for dinner?" is about all I ever got.

My parents will usually take my wife and I out to eat on my birthday. This year was awesome, we went to GW Fins in New Orleans.
