Dad took me to first game when I was nine. closely followed ever since. In Vietnam I waited at a dust off to hear LSU Vs ND (we lost by 3) and never regretted it. 1970 was the year. Listened on AFRN at DaNang in 65. Couldn't listen in Alaska but did catch a few in England, Mich., nd Texas. Quite a few in Fla and watched LSU beat Miami in 1964 when George Mira was Miami's QB we won.

Grew up watching the games with Dad but wasn't truly invested until I went to my first game, the Oregon State game in 2004.
Even then I wasn't as invested as I am now. I just didn't know enough about football at 13 to truly love the game. I just thought it was fun. My understanding of the game and my love for the Tigers gradually grew every season.
2007 was when my Fandom really took off. I was a starter on my highschool team by then and I knew the game well. I can remember being on the cotton picked when we lost the Kentucky. Then the national championship game is a treasure of memory watching it with my dad.
The two players I remember most from 04 and 07 are Skyler Green from 04 and Jacob Hester in 07. Those were great times man.

I was born into it but really didn't start paying attention and getting into the games until 1982. That was one exciting year that served to really get me hooked.

1995 I was 11. I remember my family got together to watch them in the Independence Bowl. I remember everyone was excited to play in a bowl game and winning it. LSU has come a long way since.

I'm pretty sure I'd say 1977. I was 10.

I went to my first LSU game in 1977 and I knew this was a special team and place. I was 9 years old. I fell in love with the Tigers 2 years later in 1979 when they were defeated by USC at the end of the game. I listened to that game at my grandmother's house on her old wooden box radio, and was heartbroken. Just the magnitude of great players on that USC team made me realize the Tigers could play with anyone. Some of the great players on that team that I remember to date:
Charles White (won the Heisman that year)
Marcus Allen (Won the Heisman a couple years later)
Anthony Munoz (Best OL in that era)
Ronnie Lott (Best DB of that era)
Keith Van Horne
Jeff Fisher (Has coached in the NFL and just recently fired from the Rams)

1987. Watched the Gator Bowl from start to finish. Pretty good for a six year old.
