Undrafted players aren't really busts on their original team.

I don't remember exactly but did he go undrafted due to the character issues stigma? I remember that punch on the Boise player making him look pretty bad.

I was thinking of Rich Gannon also. He bounced around the NFL for a decade, then finished his career in Oakland as one of the best QBs in the league for 4 or 5 years.

Wouldn't consider Smith a bust with the 49'ers, just shows what the right coach can do and let's you wonder how many players had potential but faltered under bad leadership.

You would consider his "All he does is catch touchdowns" Eagles career a success?

Was going to put him at QB, but I figured somebody would bitch about Saints bias and argue that he wasn't a bust in San Diego.

Ricky Williams was pedestrian and oft-injured with the Saints, and then went on to lead the league in rushing the year after being traded to the Dolphins.

Was an UDFA. Hard to call him a bust.

Jerry Hughes is a good example

WR Brandon Lloyd (sp?) was givin chances with SF and DAL but it wasn't until frick boi Kyle Orton came along in Denver that he lead the league in yards iirc. Had a good three year run in Denver.
