If its just for pasta i just rinse it with hot water a bit. Just kinda depends on what im doing.

It's not a difficult thing to clean so every time I use it.

Plus most of them are dishwasher safe

When I get a new colander at New Year's I hang it on the wall. Then I take it down at the end of the year and replace it with another new colander.

I have mine seasoned like you would a cast iron pot or skillet. My pasta has the best taste. People always ask me why my pasta has such a distinctive taste. They never believe me when I tell them!

Depends on what I used it for. Typically I wash it after every use. However, if I use it to wash off vegetables one day I've been known to just rinse it off to use the following day
