Kind of feel sorry for Miles, he will get shut out and may never coach again

The lesson learned is stubbornness gets you nowhere especially after the way he was warned at end of 2015 season.
How difficult was it for Miles to hire a coordinator and why the hell was Cameron retained.

I'm sure he'll be wiping away his tears with a large pile of money.

I don't think it's his stubbornness as much as it is his age. I still think he'll wind up coaching again, though. He'll be the right fit for somebody.

The man can recruit and assemble a decent staff. Not to mention, worse case for him is to get paid millions for not having a job. I think he will be fine.

Dude got 11 years at a top 5 football program in the country after being the head man at OK State, why the frick do people feel sorry for him???? And made many millions doing it.

Its not a good look when you barely escape being fired and then you lie all off season about changing. Then you come out and its the same dog shite, which shouldn't have been a shocker considering he kept cam.

He created this situation by refusing to believe what everyone else could clearly see about his offensive philosophy. He has put L.S.U. in a tough spot that could effect the program for years. Do I feel sorry for Miles....not in the least.

if its not houston, then i don't see him getting anything this year and you're right, his age is certainly a negative when it comes to finding a new landing spot

Well, if you look at Mack Brown and Phillip Fulmer, they were in similar situations and they never coached again. I don't know why things would be any different for Miles.
It's time to ride off into the sunset on his pile of cash and enjoy life. I'm sure he can find plenty ways to still earn a little money along the way.

I think he would do great on ESPN Gameday. That's a better fit for him and an easier gig than Baylor, Houston or Purdue. And I imagine the money is pretty sweet -- I'm pulling this out my arse, but I bet you get paid $1 million a year and you just work during college football season.

Yeah I'm sure he's crying as he's wiping his arse with 100 dollar bills.

he'll take over corso's spot on gameday and make seven figures being his goofy self

The back half of LSU's season was devastating for Miles. A TE coach who hadn't called plays in nearly 20 years comes in and smashes the record books almost every game. If I'm looking to interview Les that's my first question: explain this.
If Les had let his coaches coach he could have stayed here forever

But all the commentary was how great of a coach he was and LSU was crazy to fire him. Riiiight.

Fact: Leslie called plays from time to time and over ruled several times. He contolled the plays that were allowable. This also happened to the Wizard and he even said as much after exiting the program. Leslie has no one to blame but himself.

An unexpectedly small amount of jobs have come open. He has no shot at a job like Oregon. Wasn't interested in Purdue. It was either Baylor or Houston.

Old with a lot of money and a lot of expectations about what kind of pay/job he should get. Sort of a Mack Brown situation.

Amazes me that Miles didn't realize he only had to fix three things to turn it all back around to being highly successful at LSU.
1) Hire great progressive OC/QB whisperer.
2) Don't meddle in the offense.
3) Learn clock management 101.
