Inevitable "it doesn't matter, they'll lose 5 games because LSU hired their DL coach."

"Binder!"

There. Comments are covered

Kiffin is as shady as they come. I dont doubt he told O what he wanted to hear. Maybe even Alleva. You dont think Kiffin's agent is gonna make Alleva cry just like all the other agents did? They see how desperate LSU is and how incompetent Alleva is. We're gonna end up with Applewhite

i think you regurgitate that more than anyone else.

it's like you interject that shite in every single thread that you post in.

They are good friends to the extent, according to Coach O last summer, that they talk 2-3 times a wk during the off season. So, at the very least, he probably does know what Kiffin's plans are, be it coming to LSU or waiting to see if he is offered a HC job somewhere.

This is his single most important decision in his entire coaching career, I hope for LSUs' sake and his it works out.

I trust Orgeron to get it done. Alleva not so much. But it's comforting to know that it is O leading the charge.

Prominent pulled the same shite during the Miles era until finally crossing over when the ship was clearly going down

He also thought Paul Johnson was going to change college football....safe to say his opinion on coaches is a tad flawed

Hell, at least he isn't a proven failure as an AD

WTF does our AD do all day? "I'll just hire this guy on the cheap and cut him lose on negotiations for the staff and kick back till after bowl season"

If this turns out to be true, I suspect O will man up and move on.

If only our fans would do the same.

He must have listened to Jim Donnan during his ESPN days, because that guy believed Johnson was gonna terrorize college football with his offense.

How do you distinguish his "I'm gonna get Kiffin voice from his I just catapulted myself into a HC at LSU from my position as DL coach voice" More yaw or less yaw?

No coach leaves a championship run, so the thing with Kiffin is he's gonna have to accept the job publicly, but still coach Bama for a month as a lame duck OC. Which is fine--it happens. But I don't think he'd be able to recruit for us while still at Bama. So, that's one less coach on the trail. Probably ok cause O can tell all his offensive guys who their coach will be and what he sees their role as. It gets tricky if Lane won't announce until after Bama's season is over. LSU cannot afford to wait(for both recruiting and finding another OC if Kiffin's deal falls through).

Kiffin and O back together again a la USC and Tennessee.

I mean, what could possibly go wrong?
